This lovely antique mourning shield brooch is 18ct yellow gold.  It features pretty clover leaf engraving and features 3 half pearls at the centre.  The back of the brooch has a locket section allowing placement of a treasured photograph or a lock of hair.

This antique piece is dated approximately 1820s.  It measures 33mm across and weighs 6.7 grams.
