The term Tennis Bracelet was coined thanks to Chris Evert, a professional USA tennis player, who had a prolific career from 1972 to 1989. During a ferocious match in the US Open, her George Bedewi diamond “eternity” bracelet broke and fell off her wrist.
Chris Evert asked the officials on the court if they could stop the match, until the diamond bracelet was recovered. Ever since that memorable moment, jewellers have been creating lines of diamonds to surround the wrist with secure clasps. This is now known as the “Tennis Bracelet”.
3 round brilliant cut diamonds make up this articulated tennis bracelet, with rub over settings all 18ct white gold, it is a perfect piece for everyday wear.
